Why Write a Complaint Letter?
You've probably heard all of the clichés: The squeaky wheel gets the grease, the pen is mightier than the sword, and so on. But it's true: People who take the time and effort to complain when something goes wrong are much more likely to ultimately get their way.
If you've been wronged, whether you've experienced from a faulty product or rudeness or incompetence at the hands of service staff, you don't have to suffer in silence. A professional-yet-firm complaint letter can open the door to resolving your problem. Complaints submitted in writing get results more often than those made by phone.
In almost every case, retailers, service representatives, professionals, government entities and others you do business or otherwise interact with are obligated to make things right. But it's the people who assert their rights who get results.
Most people don't complain. They just deal with the fallout, whether it's lost money, wasted time, or unnecessary stress. That shouldn't be you. Write a letter and complain. It's almost always worth it.
