The fee that has been requested for the Anytown Field Trip is excessive. I don't know how many families can absorb a $200 price tag, but our household cannot and thus I sadly must deny my child this educational, team-building experience.
I am mindful of the tight budgets within which schools and their teachers must operate. However, it is unfair to ask parents to bear this high of a cost for an educational outing.
Please consider lowering the fee and/or scaling back the excursion.
